Tobar an Léinn is a small 6 teacher primary school located in the village of Raheen, Co. Laois, Ireland.
Dear Parents A warm welcome back to all our pupils and parents. I hope everyone had a very good Christmas break, and enjoyed their time with family and friends. Our pupils have hit the ground running in 2017 and with the evenings becoming brighter there is so much to look forward to between now and the end of the year.

Our new website is now live. Check us out at www.tobaranleinn.weebly.com. Alternatively typing Tobar an Léinn into Google should also find us. We hope that the website will act as vital communication link between home and school as well as providing further educational benefits to our children.
Our Operation Transformation walks begin this Friday, January 27th. The 1st to 6th class will take part in the walks down Dan Tynan’s lane, This walk will take place between 9.20am and 9.40am every Friday morning for 6 weeks. Children will need to bring wellingtons or old runners for the walk as the lane can be muddy. Ms Griffin’s class will be doing activities in the yard. All parents are welcome to take part in the walks and assist teachers in the supervision of children. On February 10th, we will also be taking part in the “10 at 10” (10 minute activities in the yard) with all primary schools in Ireland.
