Tobar an Léinn is a small 6 teacher primary school located in the village of Raheen, Co. Laois, Ireland.
Today the children in Tobar an Léinn began their 1st Operation Transformation Walk of 2017. Seomra Aoibhnis an t-Solais, Seomra Beatha an Óige and Seomra Árd na Spéire all took part. The walk lasted 20 minutes and children, teachers and parents all had a great time. Ms Griffin's class performed dancing in their classroom and are already getting ready for the 10@10 on February 10th. We will see you all for next week's walk on Friday at 9:20 am sharp. Our Operation Transformation walks begin this Friday, January 27th. The 1st to 6th class will take part in the walks down Dan Tynan’s lane, This walk will take place between 9.20am and 9.40am every Friday morning for 6 weeks. Children will need to bring wellingtons or old runners for the walk as the lane can be muddy. Ms Griffin’s class will be doing activities in the yard. All parents are welcome to take part in the walks and assist teachers in the supervision of children. On February 10th, we will also be taking part in the “10 at 10” (10 minute activities in the yard) with all primary schools in Ireland.
The RSE talk for parents takes place this Wednesday at 7:30pm. The Workshop for children will take place on Thursday morning at 10am. All parents in the school are welcome to attend.
